In 2019, Solvay, adhering to the concept of green environmental protection, finally commissioned Edvance to install a three room RTO after comparing several schemes. At present, the equipment is running well, and the online detection is stable and up to standard. The project reduces 8 waste gas outlets of the plant and incinerates the woven and unorganized waste gas. Total VOCs (volatile organic compounds) decreased by 408 tons/year, and odor caused by VOCs and ammonia was improved.

Analysis of VOCs Control in Fine Chemical Industry

In the process of fine chemical production, organic waste gas is almost discharged in the whole process, and most of the emission sources are not organized emissions, such as: production device leakage, loading and unloading vehicle leakage, equipment pipe valves are not tight, shutdown maintenance venting, oil sump escape and other unorganized emissions. From the perspective of the overall organic waste gas emissions of fine chemical production enterprises, there are unorganized organic waste gas emissions, and it is not easy to deal with them in a timely and effective manner.
Characteristics of fine chemical pollutants:
1. VOCs are characterized by many types of emissions, complex components, large fluctuations in air volume and concentration, and more S, N, CL and other heteroatoms. Combustible gases also have potential safety hazards.

VOCs emission control technology:
